keep losing my inbox e-mails need help

I am receiving lots of vulgar spam and wish to create a new name for myself to avoid this in future.

I would like a name that is easily alterable so that if this situation arises again I can easily create a new one.
For example add a number after my name which I can change if necessary to create a new identity

When I try to enter as a new user, your system takes me back to my old name.

First thing tried to do to get colored mail was to click as told on the options menu next to help but I cannot see one on my page or computer hence cannot advance any further !!
Going downhill now from my last comment where I put seemed quite good to now – will let pou know if it continues (or words to the effect of)

Great about time yahoo caught up with Microsoft Hotmail.Although Hotmail allows you to choose from every single colour in the rainbow and every shade of each individual colour.Not knockinh Yahoo thou you made an effort atleast to let people modify the look of your Yahoo mail.Please add a colour chart in the future.

It’s good that you are making a change
but me and lot of pleple l talk think the colours are no different to the old ones and just 6 colours maby u can put patterns or bonfireworks background or birthday cake or flowers anything like that. But one coloure is just plain simple and boring i no lot’s of people that think so to that’s why lot’s of my friends move to hotmail. NO EFFENCE think about the peoples idea

I started using yahoo mail when i was on a computer course at work and enjoy using it besides improving the web page with colour isn’t time you changed the yahoo mail character or is that the yahoo emblam that wheres the yahoo mail cape can’t you improve on that. And improve on the download speed when clicking on the google button to get into yahoo sometimes takes ages.

make it different then msn hotmail……its all the same as they provide……its fantastic that you are providing the colour system but make it a different, such as themes and setiings….with personalized things to make it different……anything wanted to tell what i really think of yahoo……

I think I agree with Micheal Amoako. Yahoo is progressing as he said and the fitures are lovable. However, one cannot view pictures stored as it was before. Secondly, I think Yahoo is too slow a little bit. On the whole Yahoo is on top. Keep it up.

Nice but pity there is no colour that covers all aspects of yahoo, there is not enough colour, all you can see it top box’s and a few lines, why not make it so all backgrounds can be changed also, as white is boring, so colour would do it justice.

i really appreciate what yahoo has done so far. to be honest, i think yahoo!mail is the best. besides making much much easier for us to check our own mails, it has improved a lot on the colour in particular. but a little extra pattern would be nicer. and for those who said hotmail is better, i beg to differ.

I don’t care about the colour – but I do wish you hadn’t introduced that awful reading panel. It’s useless and means you cant see as many of your emails as before. It also jumps too much when you scroll down.

I don’t have the headings “Send Feedback, Mobile, Options, Help” underneath the Search box on my screen. Not on the Inbox screen, or any other screen. So I can’t choose colours. Or get Help. Can anyone tell me why these headings are missing?

I got all excited thinking that you could mark individual emails in different colours for easy recognition just like you can with Apple Mac folders … that would be much more helpful and exciting.

how many people with B.T Yahoo have as many problems as me with login sessions expired which means you cannot access your email, and have to put in your password 10 to 15 times before its finally excepted only to find login session is expired, I now have to delete history, cookies, tm files every day and I am paying

I don’t see why this had to be done because we can choose “themes” for the inbox also from Options, so this doesn’t make any difference. I’d prefer seeing free stationery for everyone’s use =)

you should put a bigger range of colours. or allow the member to create a theme. for exaple have leaves in green for nature etc. have oceans in blue etc. i think you should have a tool where you can pick your own colour from different shades. or even add your own pictues for your background.

I think its a great idea , one suggestion please, could it be possible to change the colour of the white background as well. I am colour sensitive=asfedic and white hurts as does red. Besides that It would be rather pleasant to have something other than white.

personally i find msn,way better to operate as i have the same problems as the others on here with logging on and especially adding contacts.the adding contacts is the hardest bit to me,seems stupid compaired to msn”s add a contact screen.
i ve tryed yours and several times it hasnt added my contacts very easily and often wont let me even add yahoo users.
i think a whole rethink is needed to compete with msn”s way of working.

Agree with some of the posts: the colour schemes available are a bit hard on the eyes.

Hi Paul,
You can add extra email addresses to your account. Just click on “Options”, then “Accounts” then click “Add or edit an account”. Once in the Mail Accounts section you can add up to 5 other email addresses to check mail from.

I group all my contacts under different headings. I would like to get each group in different colours (ie France in blue, USA in red, OZ in green etc) for quicker identification but the system will not let me.Can you help?

Hia Think you need to add more brighter colors and maybe animations and style fonts that we can personalise . It can get pretty boring reading mail from a dull inbox .
Defo need to brighten up . But good job with every thing else . xxx

We need more skins and better animations please!!
Also mail seems to be taking for ever to appear in INBOX from hotmail and tiscali, Also receiving more spam than ever and seem to be having more problems with settings sticking- for example when creating a new message it lets me type in email address but when i try to compose the message, it wont let me put the cursor in text box to type message???

I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WHEN YAHOO NEVER CHANGED OVER 100′S OF MY PHOTOS TO FLIXSTER – AND WHEN I TRIED TO FIND THEM THEY HAVE ALL GONE???

Nice idea – my only comment is that the drop-down interface is a bit painful to use – it took several attempts for me to change the colour, especially the colours that were lower down the list. Thought it might be worth pointing out in case you are using this sort of interface in other products you have in development.

My email address seems to work when it feels like it. Even when people double check my address there is still no guarantee that their email will get through.

1. In blueyonder there is the option to go straight to the inbox when opening E-mail.
Could Yahoo use this option?

2. Users are invited to transfer their address books, but the range of options does not include Blueyonder. Why not?
It’s a slow business re-writing the whole list.

i rly like the new yahoo mail! and it’s great that i can talk to people from it that are on MSN, even though i am not! but i wish that when i use the messenger on yahoo and talk to people that are currently on MSN, that it doesn’t say my email, but that i could get a chance to change it to my name instead, so ppl know who they are talking to. anyway, i think that new colours idea was great! but hotmail also had that, and they have a bigger variety though. so could you please, add more colours! :D

P.S: I think it would be GREAT if you also could add paterns to decorate your inbox instead of just plain colours!

I have read all the bad things about the new e-mail and am suffering from a lot of the problems. cant get anything on the toolbars to work. I can’t delete e-mails, can’t empty trash or spam
can’t get back to classic. Can anyboby please help me get classic back.

cool ive chosen violet and it looks great on my yahoo mail my favorite colour is blue but my sis has chosen it and she will think im copying her if i do. i think the idea is really cool!

Great idea, I chose pink although I’m not a ‘pinky’ type of girl and it lit up my screen beautifuly. I agree we need some colour in the winter. Here in the Czech Republic we tend to have a beautiful winter with plenty of snow but it can also be very gloomy (as it is at the moment) so thanks and all the best in 2008.xxx

Pretty lousy colours. All kinda putrid and odd looking. What happened with the old mix ‘n’ match colours on the old yahoo! Sorry, but this collection of colours is too small and they are really uneventful! Someone’s being a little too clever and not giving us much choice.
Back to the drawing board, eh?

Hi – great work – however, I think a more useful enhancement would be a SEARCH function – I.E. So you can retrieve only e-mails with %words% in the Subject or all from a specific sender.

I think yahoo is fab because i can talk to all my friends without havig to download the yahoo chat thing and my friends dont have to as well and yahoo os cool because of avatar pic

i wish to use this medium to ask if my picture can be uploaded to show right on the new yahoo page.
can there be a system in place enabling me to blend my colour or upload my picture as background and place @ where the messages appear?

How come, most times when I add a new folder, I loose my place in the “in-Box”, and other times it just freezes and I had to close Yahoo Beta and then sign in again, it’s very annoying. Can you make it easier like the Yahoo Original, where it had a “New Folder” option in the “Move” drop-down menu. Thank You.

The spam filter worked fine for a while but now an increasing number are getting through to my In Box. All are the African scams. Is there any way to stop this?

Pleae put comic sans back as an option for the fonts. It should have never been removed. It’s the font of choice at my job…

I’ll be staying with classic until Comic Sans is an option in the new Mail interface…
