Get out and VOTE! (then get over to the Yahoo! homepage)

This doesn’t really have anything to do with Mail, but it’s too important not to mention.  Today is election day, so if you have already done so…THANK-YOU.

If you haven’t, there’s still plenty of time to head over to your local polling location.  If you don’t know where that is, you can check the special Yahoo! Election ‘08 page for details.

A quick peek at the Yahoo! homepage will also reveal a special election day logo that asks about your voting activity.  It doesn’t ask you to declare what you voted for, just that you voted.

If you click on the NO button you will be directed to the same Yahoo! Election ‘08 page referenced above, but a YES gets you a wonderful affirmation of your contribution.

So make sure you earn yourself an updated Yahoo! Header!

I did vote but I noticed that Ryan sent the email very early this morning and I just got it after 9PM central time. Polls are closed here. Why is email so slow?

I think they should go by popular vote. That’s just me. But I would have liked to see McCain in office not Obama. Because by popular vote McCain would have been in there. I can see it now everything we have fought for to keep AMERICAN, will fall. Do we really want someone in there that won’t even raise his hand over his heart when the flag is raised. or even say the pledge. I don’t understand people. we need someone that is going to fight for american rights, not take them away.

I voted and It is nice to see we can share our own opinions with the world. Bush didn’t represent the U.S. in the best way he could, but hopefully we can be represented by the best.

I am very proud to be an American now that we have a new President - Obama. Oh, by the way - he won the popular vote as well, and he won 3x as many electoral votes as McCain - 5 republican states turned democratic in this election. America has spoken. Bush made me ashamed to be an American - ’nuff said!

This was so clever! This really has been a special election year, and with little efforts like the interactive vote button, it only adds to the positive experience.

i admire how politics is done and how democracy is exerciesd in the states iwish the spirit of democracy would spill to africa may it would bring an end to civil wars ,poverty ,untold sufferings my fellow africans have been subjected. i advocate for peace and unity development for all .i hope the entrance of obama would turn the political sphere for the betterment of the black race not that i am racist but coz we have been marginalised from world politics for awhile.
