Can you ask the yahoo mail staff if they can please, please, please allow us to block ALL emails sent from high level URL’s like .info, .ru, .xxx, etc.

On a side note. I’ve got gMail + have tried most other public webmail clients.

I FAR prefer yahoo over everything else I’ve tried. Yep, it sometimes gets flaky, but so does gmail, apple mail, several wireless providers, and even very expensive hosted accounts go stupid sometimes.

I “VERY MUCH” wish that Ryan and the Yahoo Mail guys would put into Yahoo Mail, the ability to “only receive” the email that is for you as a Yahoo mail user. It should be a selectable choice, versus through all of the email sending in the rooms you may be a user of.

Hope to see the selectable – “Only Email being sent me ME” soon.

@ C Smith: you can set up filters to do this– go to mail options, then filters, then put the domain endings in the From header section (one per filter); finally choose the Trash folder.

I’ve requested help on this item over and over. When I have deleted a contact or changed the contacts email address I do not want the deleted or the replaced address to appear in the oh so helpful drop down box when I start typing their name. Or I want to be able to right click or something and remove it so it no longer appears in the drop down box.

Been a yahoo mailer since like 95 or as early as it was available if a later date. the single feature I am still waiting for is free pop3/smtp access so I don’t have to use the web interface. no, I won’t pay the 19.99 a year for it, since all the other services give it for free. so the question, will we ever get that for FREE?

About a month ago changed from Hotmail, and am seriously regretting it. Huge server problems, including Error 2. Have contacted Yahoo but was simply sent same form to fill out, then nothing… Am I the only one with this problem?

Why don’t you ver post any of my questions about Yahoo mail filters not working? This is an appalling bug in Yahoo mail. I will continue to post on it everywhere I can until Yahoo fix it. I’ve already pursuaded a few people to abandon Yahoo. Fix this bug!

No matter what filters I include – ie: emails with “viagra” or “cialis” in the subject line to trash – the emails still come into my in-box. I’m being flooded with this rubbish and I will have to abandon Yahoo soon if it continues. I’m not the only one having this problem – just search Yahoo Answers – the filters simply don’t work – they do precisely nothing. If this option does nothing why is it included in “mail options”? I’m really annoyed by this because I’ve been using Yahoo for almost a decade and it going to be really difficult to abandon it.

Ryan,

I am curious if yahoo or yahoo business mail is ever going to offer imap.

I have a small business and am considering switching due to this. In other words I need to have record copies of all my e-mails.

Any info would be great.

I use free email. I receive email from us.army.mil from Ft Polk. Today I replied to one received from that addy and it was sent back to me saying no such address!

Also when I block email addresses, they still get through. What gives?

I want to know how to: (1) send mail to undisclosed recipents; and (2) how to get return delivery on sent e-mails so I know when the person opened the e-mail. Thanks.

Not sure if this has ever been bought up before but when you delete spam you have to hit ok to confirm the deletion, but not when you delete regular mail. Its like a way to make spam even more annoying. There should be an option to not show the ok button or a tick box to never show again.

Hello All,
I sent to Yahoo support team the following question:
Could you tell me whether I can assign priority to my outgoing e-mail
messages and how to do that. They told me I cannot, but invited me to come here and post my comments. So here I am wondering if anybody has the same problem as mine and more importantly whether anybody is aware and working on improving Yahoo mail in this respect.
I would really appreciate your feedback.
Thank you in advance.
