Sorry if I'm off the subject. First time on the blog and wasn't sure where to post this.

When I used outlook a few years ago, if I had an important message that I wanted to make sure someone got, I could select receipt confirmation-something like that, and it would send me notification when the person opened the message I had sent. This isn't available in yahoo apparently and I'm wondering if anyone else has this issue?

It was a simple"your message has been viewed"or something like that. Is this just not something thats going to ever happen in yahoo? should i just go back to outlook? I know it doesn't guarantee they actually read the email, but at least I knew and could show it had been at least opened.

Need immediate help guys - a matter of preference!

How do I switch from - Yahoo Mail (Classic) - back to
new (previous) mail format?

I was getting - Invalid XML errors - (HTTP status:200)
      (anybody seen these?)
whenever I entered my email - got frustrated with these
(Invalid XML) errors msgs coming up - so I swithed to (Classic)!

The Invalid XML errors stopped - however - yes, I would prefer the
(new / standard) format!

Is there a (mail or internet) option that can switch you back to your
new (standard) format - or I'm stuck with Classic?

Please respond!
Thanks

I want to read my email when I select it.
I never chat from inside my email in box anyway
The calendar feature is a superior feature, but really, it's the email, in orderly, working fashion that I have always been after.

In the past two months I have had such ridiculous problems setting a security tag, so much so that I could not even access my email for hours, even days at a time. Once in to the email in box, could not read the new email I had received because the Y email program became flighty when I pushed the reply button to read it and the system locked. Drove me nuts, I ended up just signing out. Was ridiculous, had to reboot a couple of times just to unlock system. Yes, Cookies cleared, yes temp files cleared, and yes before locks. Of course I used the F8 feature, I had to. Yes, a W prob., but, W shut down due to Y M prob., yes indeed.

Not good, so please, Yahoo, make my email readable in Yahoo Email Plus, will ya? Come on, please?

Thank you,
Judi

Hey there,

I could really, really use some help with a problem I have with Yahoo Plus Email. This paid for email service MUST BE corrected so that people who have it CAN read their email when it is selected in the usual manner.

It is completely absurd that the reply button must be utilized in order for people to be able to read their email. This is not security, this is absurdity.

Let us suppose that this is a setting placed to keep hackers common to chats from accessing client email programs?

Do we really need to be chatting from our email boxes?

Did you know that any time you chat and have email open from any program, you are potentially exposing your email to a hacker?

This is a KNOWN FACT

Disclaimer: Many security software packages, and other software programs on the market today have the capabilities to prevent this type of attack. Do you know if yours does? Personally, I am not selling anything, just thought I would ask that good question along with this "Disclaimer".

Please Yahoo? This is such a disservice, couldn't this "bug" because it bugs me and I'm sure it bugs others too, because they're switching back to your dinosaur email to avoid it; be fixed? Really now, to chat in email? or Not to chat in email. What most really wanted was the Calendar anyway.

A resolution to the real problem with the email is of paramount importance to the majority of your greatest fans and users.

Sincerely,
J

I started having the same problem with "chat". I have Windows Vista--and was told that Yahoo is incompatible with some of the Vista software--although it has worked for 11 months! I have Verizon Yahoo--and there are alot of complaints--as of 10-17-08. It is keeping me "off line" even though I clicked on "available". It sez I have to have adobe Flash installed(I do) but it is not recognizing this.(as of 10,17,08.
