This is my problem too—
I can type but the advanced CHAT and SMS features don’t work, they keep prompting me for a version that is less than the version I have installed. how can I fix this? (Mike from 10/20 typed this)

Hi Ryan,

I am trying to load the new version of yahoo messenger in my mail account. I have the latest Flash version but it still does not work. The ym will cancel after trying to log on. Is there something I need to set to enable chat from work? I like to chat with family when I am working late or on the weekend.

Sorry to be redundant, Ryan; I too, encounter the keystroke problem off and on. Can’t seem to find a pattern to it…

I do have a few other “issues,” though:
–If we elect not to post a photo or avatar, why can’t we get rid of those ugly default blockheads?
–Can you please ditch the dumb, Yahoo! engineered comments that often pop up in chat, while your contact is typing? These contrived comments are not only dumb, but can be entirely inappropriate at times, too.
–How about coming up with a way to reduce (as opposed to minimize) the chat screen, a la Gmail’s chat?

If you are having trouble chatting in your yahoo chat, make sure that you are signed out of any other yahoo mail account that you my have in your name, or on your computer.

Ryan, Can you give me any advice on the newest flash upgrade. Ever since that came out my computer has a hard time recognizing a keystroke. Have to click up to 5 times sometimes to get it to work. Some of our favorite webpages come up all white and we cannot use the site at all. I have went thru their trouble shooting steps to no avail. I am so frustrated by the whole thing. Tried to send an email using Yahoo this morning. Every time it would either kick me out of Yahoo email or the internet explorer would shut down. Tried 5 times and gave up. HELP!!!!!!!!! Thanks so much for your help. Sheila
