I know my password works because I can log into yahoo no problem.

btw: I also manually added the pop servers for yahoo and I’m intermittenly getting the error there, too. (again this all works great over webmail AND on my laptop)

I actually added a new Yahoo account, with the same password, which works, just because I’d seen some forum entries that implied it might be having non-alpha password characters.

My existing account always gets an authentication error, referencing an imap (I think, it’s been awhile) server that the Apple store guy said made no sense.
